Ahoy Mates! It was Pirate Week in
our Class!
We made pirate ships in the Kids
Kitchen at the beginning of the month! We paired a banana base with a graham
cracker flag, and used a little cream cheese to stick it all together. This was
a yummy ship for sure!
Arrr!
We dressed up like pirates and
talked about the word pirate and what is began with. We worked together to
identify “P’s” with our Pirate Hat. This was a great letter identification opportunity!
We made the cutest little pirates
with our very own hands!
Show me your best, “Arrr!” Look
at these little Pirates!
We practiced identifying “P” with
this worksheet today, working on our letter identification and fine motor
control!
We focused on words associated
with size today, focusing on labeling “big,” “medium,” and “small,” objects!
We learned how Pirates gather
treasure and hid it in treasure boxes. We painted our very own treasure boxes
for art!
We continued to focus on developing
our size vocabulary and identified different sized pirate objects, both working
our mathematics and fine motor skills.
We finger painted pirate hats for
art!! We used red paint to offset the black hats!
In the afternoon we added cross
bones working our hand-eye coordination.
We have been working on
identifying our numbers, specifically 1-5. We counted different pirate objects
and practiced our hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills and connected the
correct number of objects to the appropriate numeral.
What an awesome week!!
