Teddy Bears do not need heart, as
they are already stuffed with love!!!
We celebrated National Teddy Bear Day this
whole week! We began our celebrations by coloring a page on Teddy Bears and had
the opportunity to talk about the sound and letter “Teddy Bear” begins with. I
encouraged my munchkins to trace the letter “t” and then color in the teddy
bear.
It’s the Teddy Bear Dance!! Teddy bear, teddy
bear turn around… Check out our dance moves!
We reviewed our shapes and showed our teddy
bears the different shapes. We had the opportunity to show each other different
shapes and place certain numbered teddy bears on a named shape, working on both
number and shape recognition.
We love to look through library books and are
learning how to handle them!!
We played with our color counting bears and got
to know them!!
We made teddy bears with our very own hands!
These are the cutest bears of all!
We sorted our counter bears by color together
and then counted them together. Classifying bears by color is one of the many
ways we organized bears in different categories this week!
On Tuesday we laced honeycomb necklaces for our
teddy bears. We practiced our fine motor and hand-eye coordination skills and
made a great gift for our Teddy’s!!
We sorted our teddy bears both by size and by
color!!
For art we made crowns for both my munchkins
and their teddy bears. We wore these for our first picnic celebration later in
the week.
In the afternoon we graphed gummy bears!! We
each got a handful of gummy bears and classified them by their color, then
analyzed what we had more and less of.
We had a “practice picnic” in our Kids
Kitchen!! So much fun!!
Here are some pictures from our first Teddy
Bear Picnic!! We drank gummy bear juice (water with gummy bears floating around)
and snacked on teddy grahams! We snag teddy bear songs and read teddy bear
books too!
After our picnic, we brought the fun indoors
and used a parachute to make our teddy bears dance! So much fun!!
We have been working on our patterning skills!
Check out our patterning practice with teddy bear counters!
We made oatmeal cookie dough in Kids Kitchen on
Friday. Look at how well we are stirring the dough!!
We made teddy bear hats and wore them to
Friday’s Teddy Bear Picnic!! The cookies were delicious and looked just like
little teddy bears!!
We had tons of fun this week!!!
